Find churches with Sacred Tears and learn the basics of upgrading your flasks.

Sacred Tears increase the amount restored by your flasks. In the base game, look closely around statues of Marika in churches. After collecting one, apply it through the flask upgrade menu at a Site of Grace.
Check the region and map layer first
Many locations in Elden Ring overlap between the surface and underground. We currently list four early-game churches. Check the original guide for the full list of 12. If a cliff or seal blocks the way, look for a route from a nearby Site of Grace.
Distinguish them from Golden Seeds
Golden Seeds affect the number of flask uses, while Sacred Tears affect how much they restore. Choose the category that matches your goal and mark only collected locations complete. Scadutree Fragments from the DLC are also kept as a separate item type.
