Select the Collectibles & Challenges map

Select Collectibles & Challenges at the top of the GTA 5 map, then enable Letter Scraps. This map includes the source coordinates for all 50 Story Mode Letter Scrap locations. The Places & Landmarks map is a separate reference for buildings and terrain.

Check both the number and the approach

Marker numbers follow the source used by this site. Compare locations rather than assuming the numbers match another video or guide. On rooftops and cliffs, the map position may not show the route you need to take. Each location's sources link to videos and original instructions.

Mark collected locations complete

After collecting a Letter Scrap in the game, mark it complete and turn on Hide completed to display only the remaining locations. You can also save places to visit. Browser records do not sync automatically with your in-game collection.
