Legendary Animals do not always stand at a single map pin. Approach their habitat, then follow the game's prompts and tracks. This map distinguishes 16 Legendary Animal species in Story Mode.
What to check when they do not appear
Appearance may depend on story progress or particular challenges. Activity nearby can also prevent a search from starting immediately, so check the marker's conditions and the original guide. The center of an in-game map icon is not an exact spawn point.
Record your hunts manually
Mark animals complete after a successful hunt and save your next destination. Online Legendary Animals are not counted in the same list as Story Mode animals. Also check the coordinate precision noted in each location's description.
